Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager– (Gas Commercialisation & LNG Projects)

Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager to lead financial strategy and analysis for our Gas Commercialisation and LNG sales portfolio. This role is pivotal in supporting project finance, capital raising, commercial structuring, and investment decision-making across a diverse set of gas infrastructure and LNG marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with a strong track record in project finance, financial modelling, commercial advisory, and fund sourcing, particularly in the Nigerian gas and LNG sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

1. Develop robust financial models and investment appraisals for gas infrastructure and LNG projects.
2. Conduct ROI assessments, scenario planning, and capital budgeting for new and existing initiatives.

Project Finance & Fund Sourcing

1. Lead efforts to raise capital from banks, DFIs, private equity, and strategic investors.
2. Prepare investor-grade documentation and support due diligence processes.

Gas Commercialisation & Advisory

1. Advise on pricing models, offtake agreements, and contract structuring for domestic and export LNG sales.
2. Support negotiation of sales agreements with industrial, commercial, and international buyers.

Forecasting & Long-Term Projections

1. Build dynamic financial models and performance forecasts for LNG production, pricing, and sales.
2. Prepare board-level reports and strategic insights on gas marketing initiatives.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

1. Ensure all financial and commercial strategies align with Nigeria’s regulatory framework (NMDPRA, FIRS, GACN, etc.).
2. Interpret fiscal policies and ensure compliance in investment planning and reporting.

Risk Assessment & Due Diligence

1. Identify and evaluate financial risks, including pricing volatility and market exposure.
2. Participate in due diligence for M&A, JV, or greenfield opportunities.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

1. Track key financial and operational KPIs across LNG and gas projects.
2. Present actionable financial insights to internal stakeholders, investors, and external partners.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CFA, ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA preferred).
2. Minimum 15 years’ experience in oil & gas, with at least 10 years in gas commercialisation and project finance.
3. Demonstrated success in fundraising, investor engagement, and LNG sales advisory.
4. Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills (Excel proficiency essential).
5. In-depth understanding of Nigeria’s gas value chain, pricing regimes, and fiscal regulations.
6. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
